The initiators of this website are a group of experts interested in speech data. They have different backgrounds - oral history, computational linguistics, anthropology, sociolinguistics, phonetics and phonology. And we all have an interest in exploring how technology can be integrated into research that involves spoken narratives and not only in Oral History.

However, because the techniques used are not only for Oral History but actually for all disciplines that use the spoken, and more and more, the videoed word for their research, we decided to create a new, slightly more general website. SpeechAndTech.eu

On that site, Oral History still plays an important role, but we show that the techniques used can be used not only for OH but for narrative research in general.
For the time being, this site will remain for a while, but for updated content, please refer to the SpeechAndTech site.
